Hi all,
I am writing to you all on this forum...about this scam from "advanced publications" and the "Police Talk magazine.. Angry

..I have had numerous calls from these people and they sound VERY convincing. Shocked

They promise an advert in The Police Talk magazine, which in it's self is a good reputable magazine that does actually exist...they will tell you to visit the web site of this magazine (which is a genuine site)..

..But they have nothing to do with "Advanced Publications" who are the scammers..

..When they call you it sounds like a call centre in the background, and a sexy sounding well educated girl tries to convince you with a lot of information about said magazine  Roll Eyes

Here check this link where they have targeted reflexologists.....

Just please be aware....they do background on your company before they target you, they quote things from your web-site or ad's that you may have.

Hope this helps......and if you know of any other scams please list these. Huh?

i had a call from someone similar ,it was a while ago,so i cant remember their name , but it was to do with a magazine that goes out in schools for drug awareness.

they said the advert was printed and ready to go out into the schools, but wanted payment £196 + vat.

when i said that i hadnt ordered the add they hung up.
it was a woman with a flirty tone but proffesional tone.

i reported it to the police, and they had other reports. Shocked Shocked

Now where would an easy place be for them to get some info on window cleaners, maybe a place where there is a lot of window cleaners together with links to websites that have there phone numbers on.

I can't think where they would go to get that info!

That reminds me I need to fill in my profile and have a link to my website.
