plus dont get down just keep getting at least one new customer a day when you got a good few to do, it will soon grow to a nice size Wink

several years in and still getting new custies without even trying or basically wanting them .
Just sold a days work as I have gained some better stuff , and also just binned a few bad payers and annoying persons .
Just binned about £120 of work , and sold £120 of work for £200 , it was bad work and the lad is local and wanted it .

Now charging sky high prices for new work as I'm at my limit now , well I have said that for years , but hey ho .

just done a small five year plan what do you guys think

at the moment i have a car  ladders wfp trolly and the kit for that and my trad kit

1-3 months: gain 84 jobs

3-6 months gain 168 jobs buy a cheap van i.e £700 and the rest of my van wfp equipment

6-12 months gain 336 jobs have a newer van by the end

if i keep going the way i have started i will get 336 jobs by 7 months that would be really good

Work seems to dry up a little bit when the bad weather comes, keep things low cost for as long as possible, you will need all the extra money you can get in the winter, if its a winter like the last one brace your self. dont feel down by this but expect the worst and you wont be dissapointed build up nice and steady go for quality no quantity.

i agree with this, always work to minimums and anything after that is a bonus

Only you knows what you can afford, if you can afford a cheap van get one but dont go mad buying beyond your means, it will all come good in time.

Best advice mate I can give is from my own experiance .
I'm a hard working individual who  worked from £5 an hour upwards in my early days of window cleaning .I had some terrible first few houses that were a nightmare when I was trad only .
I built the round up ,up and up more ,  by being seen cleaning and by canvassing , door knocking , leaflets are only any good if you knock on the door the following night .
So now I have a professionally fitted system with fast fill RO , the best poles that are expensive but are quality , and I earn enough to provide for the family , however only just these days .

If you are determined , and willing to work very hard then I suggest you go straight for a van mount system , DIY , and cheap van , as if not you will always upgrade from the trolley - trailor - to van mount , many have done this .

Buy a Expert,dispatchor scudo for about £1200 , add a 350 layflat tank , nice size , buy a RO 450gpd minimal or better still a 40/40 .
Buy the battery, pump etc all for about £500

So for £1700 done and dusted , or if you have the trolley already then but the tank and plumb the trolley into the tank .Its the same as supplying from the 25litre containers

all the best

A good size tank , not too upright , best size you can get to start with .

Working and cleaning the windows on a saturday is good as you seem to get noticed more , sunday evening to canvass  , persons are in and thats when you want them to be .

We've been going about a year and a half - best advice I can give is -

1.  Get an LPG van - saves a fortune on fuel!
2.  Don't have a water meter!! (It sucks if you do and you use a WFP system)
3.  Price your work carefully -  we've learned through trial and error that conservatory roofs / gutters / soffits and fascias need to be priced according to the state they are in.  Try using a minimum price (e.g. minimum £10.00 for a conservatory roof) and increase prices for heavily soiled items.

Nice one mate ,
Just shows you that with a little bit of effort and hard work you can easily create a business within 12 months .
Well probably 3 months .
Plenty of houses out there to be cleaned

Just make sure you do them for the right money  Smiley do not be a busy fool...,remember this its not how many customers youve got but how much you make/earn..........in my village one guy has 80% of the work and they all want him ....but he cleans for half my price which is why he goes
out cleaning in the rain and i dont (as a rule).......good luck
