Help needed - I may have scratched a window...

A custie has accused me of scratching two of her windows. Lounge window had some paint spots on it and lots of scratches localised like a scourer pad and in the centre of the scratch a dot where the dot of paint used to be. Could I have caused this with my brush if I scrubbed hard?
The other window is a velux one. I have agreed I have probably caused this one as there are linear scratches up and down and are probably caused by the fact that the window was open and I stupidly tried to clean it. I think the bottom of the ali gooseneck was touching the glass and scratching it. Won't make that mistake again!!!!! question is - Is it possible to remove surface scratches and if so, how??

Some glass merchants can remove scratches with paste and a polishing machine. Go and have a chat with one and explain the situation.
