I was wondering how others price this sort of work.

I have recently adjusted how I price window cleaning but I've been charging the same for guttering for a long time.

Just a clear out is about £25

Clear out and wash down facsia/guttering etc £40

Both prices are for a 3 bed semi, but I wonder if am getting it right as I'm picking up alot lately. It does not take long to earn £40 cleaning windows but Guttering can take quite a while.

What do you guys think?

We measure the guttering and charge £2.00 per running metre for light to medium blockages and £2.50 for heavily blocked gutters.  So far this has proved to be successful as customers can see how we work out the price.  If when we get up there not all of the guttering needs clearing we simply deduct the length from the originally quoted price.

Thanks for your responses Guys,

Circyn, Your method was what I was considering. How much do you charge to clean fascia and gutter as well as clear it?

I'm just trying to find a fair pricing method.

Cheers

We have a price for Soffit/Fascia cleans per meter as well - £1.50.  If the customer has both gutters and soffits/fascias done then we offer a reduced rate (e.g. £3.00 per running meter rather than the combined price which would be £3.50).  Whatever pricing you use, customers just like to understand how you get to the total figure and appreciate a good deal when they 'buy' multiple services from you.
