Picked up three this week. There's is never a week goes by without getting a couple of new jobs.Every new one means a customer/job I can't stand gets kicked into touch.Residential window cleaning seems to be recession proof.

Right fella`s c`mon, whats the secret of your success for getting work?
Nothing I do works.I`ve lost `tons`of work in the past 3 years with this
Reccesion and cut-backs,call it what you will.
I never get recommended,my phone wether it be land line or mobile,
It never rings.
I could do with some more jobs, big or small,I`m not `fussed`.
I`ll tell ya,it`s starting to get me down when I read about you lot pulling
In work like the `clappers`,or so it seems. It`s like being given a kick in
The teeth sometimes.

Right that’s it,moan over. Cry Undecided Embarrassed Sad Angry

At this time of the year you would have to be really unlucky not to pick up new customers,in my case I'm simply explaining that any new customers will be done between xmas and new year.it is bad practice to refuse new customers or enquiries,I have been flat out with a team of 4 and  i will struggle to get everyone done having lost 2 days in december so far.Today was dry but very cool in Dublin and i was well kitted out with thermal underlayers and a balaclava. If any window cleaners are going through a quiet patch then they are going to have to keep knockin doors, which is a lot easier to do if they work in pairs.

A good practice for one off cleans is to keep the price keen,do not underestimate the price simply because you clean next door and make sure the customer has your contact number.

The balaclava does not conceal my mouth, cheeks or nose.last year i invested in proper thermal clothing instead of several layers of clothing,I dont feel the cold weather.
