I was talking to another wc today someone I've known since I started wc over 20 years ago.
He was telling me about these other wc's that are trying to use bullying tactics to get other wc's work from them including him.
He went on to say that whilst he was cleaning some houses last week these two guys pulled up in a van and said to him "this is our patch mate if we see you around here again we'll knock you off your ladder then you'll be out of action" Well the geezer who I was chatting to explained that he had been doing that particular area for over 15 years so why should he stop now, after all its his livlihood.
Well I gave him my mobile number for him to phone me if he sees them again and to take reg no of their van. This guy is a very easy going kind of guy and told me he doesn't want any trouble so hes thinking of ditching that area just because of those bunch of tossers.
Any advice from you guys would be welcome.
Though if I can get the reg no of their van I am prepared to help this guy only because the problem may be dumped on my doorstep in the future.

This is serious. Make a formal statement to the police. If you have a partner, work in two's for a while.

I understand your m8 maybe worried a call to the police is all it takes, if only to register the problem so if anything does happen they cant get out of it.
all he needs to do is get in contact with all the local window cleaners when they see 15 guys there they may think to them selves maybe this is not are patch, window cleaning now is a professional business and as such should be treated like on, these guys saying this to him may has just started and bought a round and think they are right, there is more than enough houses in any town in the uk to give every window cleaner more than enough work 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

god that gets my goat, feel better for typing that down now  Cool
