Most people coming to this site have found it through searching on a search engine for something to do with water fed poles.  You have come to the right place.  Hopefully in the near future there will be lots of information here about the use of water fed poles for window cleaning.

I sell systems myself, and most of the people who come to me for a system have been told by some person or another that they will only be considered for the job if they have a water fed pole.  Either that or they or a friend, or someone they know has had a nasty fall from ladders.

There is no doubt about it that water fed poles are going to be the norm for most outside window cleaning below a certain height in the very near future, just take a look at other window cleaning boards lately to see that most of the discussions are water fed pole related.

If you don’t see the answer to your questions written on a post in this site, then please feel free to ask.  If it is about which system is the best in general, then I will leave it to a member to answer these types of questions, if your question is about water fed pole work in general, then me as well as other members should be able to answer any questions that you may have.

Again thanks for joining.

Hi Peter,

I used my little pole system on a house for the first time today, and I couldnt believe how much faster it was.  At least twice as quick.

I bought some purified water from a place that has its own RO-DI unit to do this, but now I'm considering your 200gpd purifyer, just 2 questions:

- Does the £350 include VAT?
- Do you take credit cards?

Thanks

Hi Silly,

It is far quicker than the old way, but you have to remember that the first clean won't be very good, and the next won't be much better, but once you clean them a few times it will be better than a squeegee.

It doesn't include VAT, and I don't take credit cards.

Did you not think of adding a WFP section to the clean it up site ? will you still be using cleanitup .

I never thought about it, when the question was asked on Cleanitup to separate topics up to different boards, I voted for keeping it all together to save having to jump from one board to another.

The reason I set this one up was mainly for people coming from my site, people looking up window cleaning for the first time, somewhere I could put information of interest to my customers.  I suppose you could look at it as a place where they can come and discuss any problems they have.  I did expect some regulars from the Cleanitup site to come along eventually, but I wasn't going to mention it, Cleanitup won't loose any members, I would think they could only gain members.

Another reason, probably the main reason if I am honest is search engine rankings, all the advertising stuff about search engine placement that you get in the emails tell us we should have some sort of board on our site, and the more sites linking to your site the higher up the rankings you go, so what better way than something like this.  Express Cleaning and Wintecs will have exactly the same things in mind, as a lot of USA companies do also, it is all part of business in this day and age.

I will still use the Cleanitup site, well as long as I am allowed to.

Hi John,
I personally don't think the "Clean it up" site, didn't moderate the answers posed by a competitor (you dom know who?). I think Peter outwitted them all by starting his own forum, & the spin offs that go with it. Who knows, window cleaners might soon have a new federation. The more competition the better.

With domestics, do most people charge less for the first two cleans or do they just tell the customer that the results won't be very good?

don't be negative with the customer by saying that it won't be very good first time. the customer want's to be reassured that they are dealing with  the best cleaner in the area. my line to the customer is " i'm sure you will see a difference straight away but the real benefit will become apparent after two or three cleans."
the customer will welcome your positive and confident  ability to provide a good service
hope this helps.  TERRY
