Im a bit annoyed
ive read reciently and heard people say wfp isnt very good ( or not as good as trad )
even on this forum.
yes you can have some problem windows i admit but they normaly rectify in time.
i once was a wfp Hater (and slater) but now i dissagree
wfp can be every bit as good as trad if done propperly
better than trad on new pvc windows.
what you all think?

Well said ship mate (sorry for the pun).

I most whole heartedly agree with you some windows need a bit of work and some custies will never be happy but I earn more money in less time using wfp which means i have more time to canvass new work, Result  Cheesy Cheesy

I'm really just getting started (for the second time). Last year I gave it a go without much success, lots of spotting and dirty runs, nothing I felt I could sell. Biggest problem was I had no tester so no way to know if the water I was using was good enough. This year I bought a new filtration system and water tester and confirmed 000 tds. Surprise...no more spots! Results on the very same windows are near perfect, better than I could ever do trad.

what you all think?

i totaly agree the thing that annoys me the most is that these comments come from people who have never used or seen wfp in action

there is a new window cleaner around our way that ive spoken to a few times, he told me the other day he'd been on local radio to promote traditional
window cleaning apparently the waterfed guy did'nt turn up to give his veiw so wfp got a slating

ive been window cleaning 20 years and wfp about 1 year there is no way i would use anything that would jeopardize my business. all my customers are more than happy with the results. all the sceptical customers ive had have all turned round and said "yes it really deos work i never expected it to".

my mate has been window cleaning as long as me but he is still trad and untill reacently ive had all the comments from him about wfp telling
me what it can and cant do  and it bugs the hell out of me because hes never even seen it work. as it turned out we ended up doing a big job together
where i wfp the tops and he trad bottoms but guess what we now use all my gear and wfp the lot and hes eaten his words

my opinion is if wfp used correctly it is fantastic and more often gets better results than trad

i am 99% wfp but still use trad for that 1% i think both ways are still very effective its like evrything else, you need the right tools for the job in hand.

Now you see this is the problem... You should have said Perfect, not NEAR perfect!
When I did trad my windows were excellent (alright I had the occasional smear!)

Now! with pole system,  no smears and the job is equal in standard.

Only one observation... sometimes the odd spiders ball of fluff in corners can be a pain to get off with a brush on a pole!

Simple , i do most commercial wfp as its quicker and safter , 3 floors,4 floors etc .
Some houses i do wfp ,above  conservatories , and good upvc windows .
And some i trad as its easier due to the character of the houses .
Also I trad bottoms as im quick .

Its strange really. I love cleaning with WFP but do think that trad has that edge over WFP..

You see a trad window cleaner will leave marks and smears on some of the windows he does, But not the same window every time. But a wfp cleaner will leave spots on the same window every time Cry .. But even if its what I call light spotting you know the windows are going to stay cleaner longer  Grin

I just wish that WFP would clean more windows then it does as I hate cleaning them TRAD  Grin

Ideal, lol fair enough! To clarify when I said "near perfect" I meant that in direct sunlight I counted 2 TINY spots. There is no way you could see them if you didn't know what you were looking for. But of course I'm being a hyper-perfectionist in analyzing the results because I'm still in the testing phase. To further qualify, these results were achieved on my first clean of the season (after 5 months of winter yuck getting all over them) and these are 40+ year old wood-framed windows.
