was working thursday last week, using my new wcw backpack, enjoying the fresh air in the welsh countryside, cleaned front of this farmhouse, and started to climb the steps to go to the rear of the house, as i did i tripped over my rigger boots and started to fall forwards, my first though was to protect my new backpack, that i was carrying, which i did successfully, sadly though i heard a pop in my left calf and felt like someone had shot me in the leg.................5 days on and a torn ligament and still no sign of going back to work, im well cheesed off.

and they say wfp is safer   Angry Angry Angry

Really sorry to hear that! That sucks.  One thing to consider for the future is income protection insurance.  This company is very good You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Hope all is well soon!
In all fairness, this could have happend carrying a ladder and bucket, and the outcome might have been you injured and the ladder causing damage to the property. Or you could have been doing anything at anytime. I think the backpacks are great as i use a shurflo SRS600 everytime i go out now, but i never put it on my back i just grab it by the handle.
Chin up.

i only wear the riggers in really wet weather as my usual boots have my work trousers over the top of them and they get wet in the long grass, the trousers go inside the riggers and keep dry.

It's ironic, I spent 20 years on ladders and the worst injury I got was when I wasn't using ladders, I stepped over the smallest fence on my whole round and badly sprained my ankle. I hobbled about for a week. Cry
