Hi. I have Purchased Peter Fogwills Hotwash Trolley. It's arriving tomorrow so haven't used it yet but I have done a lot of Homework and it seems one of the best. Think Pure Freedo
May be a good bet too. Peter V helpful if u need any advice. Hope that helps a bit. Will post comment in next couple of days on what I think of Peters Hotwash Trolley ... Fingers crossed !

Trolley arrived today. Stand on bottom broke off and needs welding back but spoke to Peter and he was very helpful and apologetic. Other than that all seems good. My Gardiner pole doesn't connect though as I have 2 female ends but Peter said he would post me one. Nice bloke. Autobrush connects though. Can't believe how heavy Hotwash trolley is. So am getting 30 m of Hose so I don't have to lift out of van so often and use as van mount ! Do I need to charge battery on 1st use. Anyone know ? Cheers

i think they come charged. but if peter's still using the same chargers as when i bought mine, if it is the one with the 2 leds just plug it in, if it's red it's charging, when it goes green it's done.
i've just seen on gardiners that they have a sale on hot microbore, about18 plus vat, can't remember if it's 60 mtrs or 30. 60 i think. don't know why it's in sale but bargain

Peter sending me 30m of extra hose and connectors for the Gardiner Pole. So that's on way. Can u see Any pro's or cOns using Trolley straight out of back of Van? Can't keep lifting as it's v heavy with Heater and gas cylinder on top of the other stuff ! Thinking about taking off heater and gas cylinder and only using in winter? What do u advise Pls Chip Huh?

don't have the hotwash so can't speak for it's weight and cumbersomeness, but i would only use in v/cold if i did.
only prob using out of van is if there's any leaks, chances are you'll get water in your van anyhow, i do, but you want as little as poss, essentially you'd be using as a van mount, it's just that changing barrels in the back of the van is hassle cos of headroom, would be ni on impossible in such as escort van, berlingo height minimum i'd say. i may add a further thought to that later.
what i do is try and do my first house from the van, then when it's about 15ltrs(kg) lighter not so bad to lift out and try to work on the principle of not having to lift it with a full barrel, does'nt always work like that but does ok, and even full you figure out the best way of lifting it, i used to do it with 2 barrels in, soon figured out not to!
i would advise buying a hosereel if you're having much hose, 30m is about manageable but anymore becomes a chinese puzzle, i should know i'm in that state now (reel bust) you can fasten it to the trolley with tie wraps, the heavy duty ones, will save a lot of hassle

i do that on 1 job, definately lightest way, but find a bit too inconvenient to lift them in and out every stop, so try to balance the 2 factors out to suit

Thanks Chaps. I have just produced 75 Litrs of Pure Water, first time ever. I'm No longer a WF Virgin lol ! I have 200 L RO System. Set it up in my shed. It took about 6 ish hours to fill 3 x 25 L Drums. Not sure if that fast or slow? I will leave overnight and hopefully be quite full by morning. Going to clean my own house tomorrow to practice. Looking forward to seeing the result. Frames are quite clean so couple of washes should do the trick. Went to Welder today and he repaired stand on trolley that had snapped off in transit. Charged me a fiver. So pleased I gave him a tenner. Will post a comment to let you know how my windows went. Tested water with TDS and it's 000 ppm. Thank god.

yep, about 1 1/2 - 2hrs per drum is what i get, would be better with a pump.
regarding what i said earlier, what i once considered doing, never got round to it, was having five drums along the bulkhead with a hose adjoining each and effectively using it as a 125 ltr tank for when working from the van. problem would be that if the hoses were'nt exactly the same length, you'd draw faster from one than another and end up with airlocks. could do that using just one, maybe 2, would just mean having to change lids, not really a prob, other thing is you'd need to put the drums on something so they were higher and the pump not working too hard.
if you could rig that up, and i don't think it would be hard, would be easier than changing drums in the van

;)I must have good water pressure i get 25ltr in about an hour & i don't have a pump fitted.I keep 8 x 25ltr drums filled plus a 210ltr barrel as back up . I make pure every day ( well 5 days ) , to keep this amount constant, just in case!!!

Chip, I am now thinking about your idea about putting drums against Bulkhead and changing lids rather than having to get trolley out of Astravan, put 25 l drum in it and putting it back in again. Would save a lot of lifting. Very good thinking Chip. We can all learn a lt from you're experience. Cheers

you give me too much credit (don't stop). i never got round to doing it as i untill recently only used 30m of hose. remember to stand them on something, about 6-8 inch should suffice, it's preferable for the pump to be lower than the water or at least as low as poss. it sits about halfway down a drum on the trolley, but off trolley would be nearly all above, could affect the efficiency and life of the pump
