Does it make any difference if the water is coming through slow or fast through the resin? does it use it up quicker if tap is on fast?

If your only using a smallish di vessel, then it must come thru it very slowly.....at a trickle, otherwise it wont have time to purify properly and will come out at ppm 10 or much higher. Larger di vessels, say 11 litre or above, then one litre per minute is ample for pure water to come out the outlet. Tap pressure is way too high for water to turn pure thru a di vessel of any size.

Quite so, but as soon as you see the reading start to creep up, disconnect the vessel from the hoses and give it a good shaking to move the resin around. The water forms "paths" through the vessel and some sections of the resin "wear out" faster than others.

That'll be a fiver, thanks.
