I've had a couple of queries about the new remote controls I'm getting in stock. There's a picture below. Note that two remotes come with this despite there just being one in the picture.

These are great controllers with screw in connectors that keep the wiring neat and to a minimum. The controller can be used to control two items hence the two buttons on the remote control.

I don't have the new batch of remote controls in stock yet but if you want any then just let me know and I'll put them aside for you. Price is £22 inc P&P with a discount for P&P if you buy more than one.

Update - the new batch has arrived and very nice they are too. What I didn't know was that the controllers have extendible aerials so as well as extending the range of the device, you can also pretend you're using a dinky early 90s style mobile phone!

The remote switch is easily mountable through a hole in the back that will clip neatly and securely onto a screw or similar.

Any queries, please get in touch.

Yes, you'd be right. You connect the remote switch up to the pump in your van and turn it on and off as required.

Smithy, that's a totally different remote. The ones I'm selling are better suited to WFP work as they operate over a longer range, an issue that has been addressed with the extendible aerial on the controller. The batteries in the controller are supposedly long lasting but I can't confirm this as I haven't been using the remote for very long myself!

Craig OK you go ahead with your sales pitch, but as for them being better well i shall refrain from replying and how much i can pick them up for, if you don't need help i shall sit on the side lines and laugh. Ive removed above advise since you don't need it along with picture

Don't be such a big girls blouse. I was only pointing out that the remote you had in your picture wasn't as good as the one I'm selling. I've used both types myself so I know where you're coming from. I was just saying that these new ones are better. No need to get your knickers in a twist!

smithy are you not being a bit harsh mate, craig has never done anything on this forum but offer advice and is always polite and helpful. A few folk were asking about remote's and he has seen a wee opportunity to flog a few so good luck to him,

It just seems a bit random to be calling him a joker

Smithy, according to your original post which you deleted, the switch you use required extensive modification before it could be used. I take it this is the one you posted a link to? It would require modification due to the remote control fob not having an extendible aerial. The distance that it would work at would be quite unsuitable for every day WFP use because as you said (once again in your deleted post) you would have to walk back to the van for it to pick up the signal. I would also point out that the remote switch in your link only comes with one remote control fob instead of the two included in the setup I'm selling so it's bound to be cheaper  Wink

I'm not trying to fall out with you, but merely point out there are differences between the remote switch you use and the one I'm selling!

i don't think I'm being harsh, i have tried test proved it about remotes, i offered a solution it was dismissed as if i didn't know what i was talking about this to me is stating something, as for extensive upgrades soldering two wires together and drilling a hole to place correct antenna to receiver its simple, it also shows little knowledge of remotes as the receiver is the item needs the external antenna than little hand held transmitter with a gimmick antenna its Graig lack of knowledge is harsh to his customers, i was trying to save him some issues but he took it wrong, then there is the fact those remote are so cheap with a gimmick antenna, Craig thinks he is on to a good thing if he sells them, i would return them, take the one i put in link add a £5 antenna and bingo you can turn the water flow up and down as well as off, a simple off and on remote is good but being able to control the flow is far so better and more use to wfp, Graig its not directly at you it was the product was my first issue then i showed you a possible upgrade that would have cost you peanuts then if you sold it together you would have been laughing, instead you chose to laugh at me as if i ain't got a clue, its the lack of knowledge you have with remote i have a issue with not you as a person, if you want it to be personal then that's your issue, as for me being harsh Ive offered help and advice for many years and many of you know i do know what I'm talking about with remotes, i may joke about and sometimes loose the plot, but to be dismissed like Graig did is not going to get my knickers in a twist, i go commando i like it to feel free to swing about, so i hope this is not taking personal by Graig just a class of knowledge about remotes,
wow i can come up for air.

so mci who rattle your box was it that welsh git taffy, has he gone or to busy to pop on here once in a while,

ps i hate sounding like a know it all, but if i have the answer or ideas i do try to share, its so easy for thing to be taken the wrong way or perceived wrongly on forums its part and parcel of life, so Graig please smile and laugh but do try to read between the line and think what I'm trying to say or have a open mind and look into it, take the link above read carefully open your mind to flow control, i have links for antennas if you need them, take this link it was the original one Ive made mine for a lot less and i can control the flow off an on and up and down, all you saw was a receiver box.

I'm fine, its one of those all age thing when you knowledge of a item is high, i even have a mate who build remote controlled bait boats with echo sounders, so when I'm preached to that someone knows better than me, it brings on a discussion of this sort, its human nature to respond, but you all know me well enough i joke about and help other and share ideas, i don't get in many public slanging matches its not my style, but you cant teach a old dog new tricks there to stubborn. Tongue Tongue Tongue

craig I'm sorry if i have offended you its not my intention, i was trying to share my knowledge as ive been there done it and made mistakes, so i was trying to help in my own way.

but if you need a shoulder to lean on taffy is open to offers theses day. Tongue

No worries Smithy. I think we both got the wrong end of the stick as to what we were trying to say to each other! Let's let bygones be bygones :-)
