I know but what i am asking is..

Turning the pump on when its froze will blow the fuse - is this the same with all relay systems ?

Simple answer ....Yes.
Turning on a frozen or otherwise jammed pump will create an electrical overload.
Unless the particular relay used has it own built-in overload trip which trips first then yes the fuse will blow.
Even with a built in trip you still need to have a fuse fitted.

so this relay , is it for people who dont use a variflow and who just have there pump wired up straight through a switch to the battery ?
