Firstly, as a new member I would like to say hello to everyone.
I am looking to purchase a 300gpd RO and am interested in the ROMan unit, although unsure who to purchase from as yet. Can anyone tell me if it is reasonably straightforward to install as I am completely inexperienced.
ROMan advise they come with instructions and have their help desk.
My water pressure is 70psi and I am expecting quiet high tds.
Also, I was planning to add a 10" DI to the system and would like to know if it is possible in the future to use one of the pre-filters as a DI filter as well and connect this to the other DI filter to double the DI capacity.  Thanks in advance for any advise offered.

Will order one on Tuesday. I have actually discussed water with Local Council and have analysis figures (which dont mean much to me), but it is definately hard water. Having today read a forum topic on river water the tds may even be quote MASSIVE so will get a tds meter asap.

In the FAQ section there is a hard water chart for the UK.

Thanks  frankybadboy & karlosdaze, I should have mentioned I am actually in New Zealand. TDS meter arrived yesterday, first dip 560ppm (very high as expected) second dip 860 Huh? looked more closely and being left handed I was reading upside down, actually 095, 098  so I was completly wrong in expecting high tds.
Have since done a series of tests with the same glass of water and results range between 101 & 109. The tds meter is the same as the one Soap National sell for 13.75 (excl).
Could anyone tell me if this variation is to be expected or is this meter not accurate enough or perhaps faulty??.
Also, I am interested to know if many "kiwis" use this forum ?? would be nice to share some NZ issues as the Canadian lads have began to.
Many thanks

As you tds is below .100 you will only need a pre filter(sediment) and RO next inline and then a DI to polish the water. That conbination will last you through many gallons of water. Just make sure you backflush the RO every so often. Once a year get a membrane cleaning filter for the RO and you will be set for life.
