Going to treat myself to a new pole, question is gardiners CLX on Ionics Grafter, both are similer spec, 22ft Gardiners weight about 2kg including brush, 24ft Grafter 2.18kg inc brush, Ionics got a sale on at moment,so price wise theres only about £15 difference between the 2. So give me your thoughts on this please....CLX or GRAFTER.

Just to clarify the specification of the CLX-22 - Complete with gooseneck and DT brush it would weigh 1.7kg not 2.0kg |

cheers Alex, was just an approx weight they told me when i rang your place up, so using a standered resi neck and not gooseneck it would be lighter.

Buy the CLX pole you will regret anything soon after purchase when things go wrong seen quite a few of the Ionics on sale or "refurbished" via ebay why do you have to refurbish a pole  read here & the net their clamps come unstuck etc thats most likely why. I brought a CLX 27 & carbon gooseneck with the extreme brush lighter than a standard crank what a breeze it flies compared to my old 27ft Cxtel that was supposed to be light  |

I got the clx,great pole. My mate got the grafter,a load of rubbish by the end of the 1st weeks work. This one is an absolute no brainer.

Hi Daryl I suppose that 1.7kg is approximately 2.0kg but for me I always like to be precise when it comes to pole weights! The 1.7kg is including a standard Resi-Neck if you were to use it with a carbon gooseneck (quick-release top clamp now standard on CLX22 & 27) you would save an extra 35g! |

I completely agree the grafters dont come close to gardiners poles, ionics equipment must be the most overpriced out there, and are far from the best.

Thats the exact one i ordered this week, used mine for first time today and im dead happy with it, must be half the weight at least of my brodex aluminium. Feels like it anyway. Good choice mate. |

In a another 12 months you will upgrade again to the Rolls Royces of wfp----The SLX---or xtreame ones .
Great poles , especially with the carbon fibre neck's and CILL brushes

Im going to get another bung for the bottom then drop a section off my CLX27 till I need it'll be nice to lose some more weight  only use it full height on a few jobs. When tax man is payed  & I get some pennies together Im going to invest in ether a S max 47 or possible SL2 as Iv had a few offers of jobs but didnt have the reach at the time. |

The higher you go the lighter you need, a modular is lighter than a telescopic over 50ft-any height.

I just bought a clx 27 with standard gooseneck and light sill brush,am WELL impressed with it,compared to my old fibreglass xtel.
