Hi,

Im going to need to buy another pole to add to my 1 man system to enable me to have help with my cleaning.
Didnt really like the first one I bought as its aluminium and is too long when closed(Im going to buy a van and it wont fit).

My question is, Will having 2 different poles of different lengths affect the output of the system. ie will the longer pole have a noticable weaker flow?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

i would have thought as long as your pump is decent enough you'd be fine, unless you're cleaning at crazy hights with them. it's not something i've done as yet but a lot do and don't read much in this regard.
by the way, i think it's good to have an alloy pole too, virtually indestructable, so if the light one breaks, you can carry on, also think a heavier pole is good for first cleans, but that's just my opinion.
if you cut an opening in your bulkhead, won't it fit along the top? i have mine resting in the footwell of the passenger seat at a diagonal, but i've got a short bulkhead

My ally pole is 40ft and didnt cost me much which is why I like it, The top section has buckled which makes it a nightmare to use. I only extend when I need to otherwise I always extend from the 2nd extension.

Only problem is its approx 9ft closed!!! Currently fitted to the troof of my trailer. Im looking at buying a ford connect/kangoo/scudo/dispatch or something similar and hopefully it will fit in!!

Might get a 25ft bayerson ive seen on ebay for about £90 to go with it.

Cheers

40 ft alloy? heavvvvy!, can't you drop a couple of sections? get it to about 7ft closed. mines a 30 ft but i drop the last section, only need it twice a month could drop the next and still do most work, but don't like the top section-too whippy, so like you don't often use it, well technically i hardly use the pole at all anymore!

Yeah might try that, I have a couple of customers that I need the full extension so can work around it. If I get id down to about 7ft I might be able to fit that in a small van.

Do you carry yours in a van? Im in the process of changing from a trailer to a small van.

Buy a CLX 27 like so many others on here have done their short compressed 5.1 ft very light 1800 gram the best budget pole out there also extends to give 31 ft reach easily  Grin

Im going to get a spare end cap/s so I can drop the last section/s thus shedding weight when un-needed too  Cool

yeah, i carry it in the van, as i said, bulkhead is only as high as the seats and slides into footwell easily. always leave it in, even though rarely use it. a back up.
as paul says, clx is next on the radar Smiley

Go for a 27 clx jack09 as it will fit even in a small van. I have a 30 ft bayersan which i purchased for one estate of 3 storey houses i clean and is heavy and very bendy when extended as the 27 clx is all rounder which even does modern 3 storey houses and when collapsed is only about 5 ft as it fits in the back of my caddy
