Not yet converted to WFP but its eating away at me. Because of the type of round I have a back pack would be ideal. Was wondering how many houses a 25litre set up would clean before re filling . I know every one has a different type of round but basically a terraced hose with 8 windows ( well 4 as i will be doing down stairs trad style) how many houses would a 25 litre clean ... generally speaking , cheers again Ted

I have an 18l WCW backpack. I fill it 2/3 of the way up so not too heavy. I clean tops only & I do about 5 houses on average. But can turn the flow down & do 6/7 or can have the flow on full and do 4.

Not sure you can get a 25L backpack?  Usually 16L or 18L, but you can get 25L drums to carry water and refill.  I know a few of our customers do this.

You're unlikely to get a definitive reply to "how many you can clean before a refill", as experienced WCs all use different amounts of water for various reasons.  But hopefully you're getting a fair idea from the replies so far.

A back-pack user told me that, with an Aqua-dapter (and the same may possibly apply if using a trigger), he uses approx 11 litres per semi.  Water conservation isn't his primary concern (speed is), so you could probably 'squeeze' more out of it, but you would sacrifice speed.

Then you have to start considering, what's an average semi, what's an average sized window, what flow rate to use, how long is a piece of string...

So, if we said an "average" semi has 10 windows (4 front, 2 side, 4 back - most of them larger than on a terraced house) that would mean you could get approx 22 windows from 25L of water.

Divide by 4 windows per house for your round = at least 5 or 6 houses, tops only, working fast, from 25L.  Prioritising water conservation over everything else you could probably get approx 9 houses with smallish windows working at a reasonable pace.

I would go for a van mount if you have a van,and get a back-pack with a fold away trolley, and you'll be totally set up for just about anything.Keep your eye on ebay for a 2nd hand system Wink
