Just about ready to order my WFP gear ( waiting for TDS to come so I know which SO or DI ) .I read on this forum that a lot of people who do WFP do the downstairs windows trad style. It makes me wonder what customers think about that. If you clean upstairs WFP  and downstairs Trad then surely customers must think that trad is the best and possibly wont go for it or else why dont people do downstairs WFP aswell . Am just gettin my head sorted before I start so any help appreciated

If they ask why I say it's expensive to use pure water and I only carry a limited supply on board so just do tops as it's safer. I always say both Trad and WFP are good ways to clean. Hope this helps. My customers seem to accept this answer.

Thanks for reply mate . I guess I could say that and if they then ask for downstairs doing WFP then I could say yes but will have to charge a bit extra to pay for the water, cheers mate

hi, i cant understand why any one would trad bottoms
unless they cant carry enough water.
I tell my custy's trad should be out lawed and if any one attempets to
do there windows trad hunt them because putting soap on the windows and frames
is a magnet for dirt and grime  and when it rains
the water draws soap out the rubber seals leaving water marks.
I must say i do shop fronts trad still but no houses. Grin ;

I am quite new to WFP so I am being conservative with my water as not sure how far it will go. If I clean top and ground floor I may run supply out so still testing this. Also it's a good way of slowly introducing WFP to customers who have never seen it. Any change seems to scare people ! Lol. Slowly slowly catch a monkey and all that cobblers ...

hilly 125 ltres at a descent flow rate thats only at best going to last you 3 hrs m8 and it doesnt make sense turning your flow rate down to conserve water as it takes longer to clean your flow rate needs to be about 50 on a flow controller which is a good flowrate and if your going to do 8 hrs that will be about 400 to 450 ltres a day but its down to you how much water you want to use but what i have found that if you dont get enough water on the window you have chance of window contaminating thats why i have it at 50 and i never have any problems

Yep 350L to 500L a day doing whole house WFP is about average. I do all my house,s WFP no trad at all. Tell your customers that your now going to clean there frames and door,s as well as there windows with WFP at no extra cost there soon be happy!

i use roughly 25 litres per 4, 3 bed semi's, this is doing wfp tops and bottoms, each house takes me approx 10 mins to do, you may use more, i've been wfp now for 4 years, the longer you do it then the better you will become, so what you need to do is to see how much water  it will take you to clean 1 house, then decide how many houses per day you want to clean, then times that 1 house by the number of houses per day, so 1 house = 5 litres, clean 20 house per day = 125 litres used per day, hope this all helps, i know it's a bit daunting at 1st but believe me, take your time, work hard and you will reap the benefits.  And so here endeth todays lesson.....!!!!! 5L per house Huh? It takes at least 25L per house to clean when you clean all the window frames and doors with all the sills. alot more if they have a conservatory with all the white plastic.

I wfp just about 90% upstairs window maybe more , just a few houses that I don't for a few reasons , access , Custie, quicker trad as can walk along tops and pole projectory is difficult on these .

But recently I have been doing a lot of houses completely with the pole .

certain houses have some beautiful windows that I just admire the waterfall run off effect that it would be a waste not to wfp them .
"Kempy Friendly windows" I believe they are known as in the trade .

Anothe 2x new ones today £30 , nice houses, nice persons .

Not necessarily.  A customer of ours averages 11L per house (excl conservatories), but can do them with as little as 5L, sacrificing a little speed.  This is with an Aqua-dapter, a trigger or Autobrush would possibly also allow you to achieve this.

25l per house don't think i ever used that even on my first attempt.
25l would do 3/4 4 bedroom detached houses with a happy custy in each one. Grin

I use 350L a day, when i started of wfp,i would use about 25L for 4 3/bed semi-det.I found changing tubs,& trying to keep an eye on how much water you've left,so you don't run dry and get an air lock,a royal pain in the ar$e.Getting the van mount was the best thing i done Cool

Yes 5L per house, pole tap fitted, if you are good and confident at what you do then you can achieve this, my round is based on a 4 weekly clean rota, so if you can keep up to them on that basis, then yes 5L per house is achievable. There's a saying that goes like this....."sometimes less is more...!!!" Cool

Maybe i like a lot of water, I have tried turning the pump down but it just slows me down, I like cleaning windows and frames till they look like new. I have found that if i turn the pump down i cant wash all the little bits off the ledges.
