I'll order one after Christmas. I don't think the post office could stand something that big coming through at this time of year. We have Christmas cards arrive in August!

Hi Peter, I'm interested to buy but you don't seem to have details listed of the heat control & flow rate that would be ideal for wfp window cleaning.
Many of the heaters imported from china like L5 and others it seems to me are not that suitable for hot wfp window cleaning as they requires a higher flow rate to work properly.
I take it you have tested it now? What is the minimum wfp per minute flow rate and temp control for the one you are now selling please?

0.75 LPM - thought it would be less for ideal wfp work? At this flow rate what is the minimum and maximum temp it runs at without cutting out?
Does it have an lcd temp display?

Surely you don't use less than 0.75LPM? If using a backpack you would want to preheat the water fast through the heater filling the backpack or container that will supply the backpack. Depends on temp etc but it if fully adjustable from a couple of degrees right up to over 60 degrees. No LCD temperature display to go wrong. I had the choice of an LCD display and declined, as small circuit boards and damp conditions are not really ideal together. Peter

I don't use backpacks for hot water as it knackers the pumps. Yes I would like to have the option to run as low as 0.5 LPM constantly with full temp control without the heater cutting out. So guess I'm still looking to find a reliable heater suitable for my needs. Also an LCD temp screen would be better for me than none at all. Thanks anyway for your time.

There is a flue available but most people just now are mounting the heater on the back door and using with the door open, so no exhaust issues. It is getting them working in the freezing conditions. Peter

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking that having the back doors open in freezing conditions is not a good idea. We instruct the guys to keep them tight shut so that everything does not freeze up in the back of the van. How much is the flue kit and can you supply it? ALso, would need ventilation in the back as I would not want the guys to be lifting the bottles in and out each day, connecting and reconnecting. (asking for trouble )

(asking for trouble ) Hi again Steve, I have only had one issue with the van door open, one chap that was having trouble in about -8 where the water was freezing before it got to his heater, and on the metal connection on the heater, probably due to the doors been open. The easy fix was to turn the heater up full and run the very hot water into the tank, for a couple of minutes, to lift the temperature of the water in the tank. No more problems after that. I will have a full system that is fitted in the van with extraction etc soon. Peter

I understand. Main problem is that we have two guys in each van. They might not be using one of the hosereels for a particular job and it would freeze pretty quick if just. Left exposed. Ionics used to use gas and they had the flue coming out of the roof of the van.
