Its ok that if good work , £10 a house seems good . 200 houses and your buying them at £20 a house .
Not many persons will be able to buy this , if a newbie , would they have all the gear and £4k Established company - would they need the extra work ?
Id say to him as he came to you with £4k , try £2.5k knowing you would go higher .
keeps persons of your patch .
Can you fit ii another 8-10 days work
good offer

If i did buy it it would mean getting another lad for couple of days a week i think as me and the lad already do around a £1000 a week and other than working a full day on a friday (which i will do as well) we are busy enough... i like the thought of building my empire instead of just being comfortable but is spending £4000 like this the way to do it!?!?!

4k sounds fair to me, If he sells via the net I would have thought 6k would be easily achievable, not that I am an expert

yep, agreed stu, most want between 3-5 cleans, if the works decent and compact or within your normal areas win win. still would'nt hurt to try bartering, if it's work he's picked up himself he's in profit at any price. i'd say 2000 a cycle is between 10-13full days work, if you pay someone 100 a day you're left with 700, call it 500 for petrol and oddments, so in 8 cleans without you doing any work on it it's paid for and yours, earning after the first year. i know things don't work exactly like that but it's a fair guage to work on. plus you don't pay 100 a day, just easier maths

25-33% of annual income so 48 divide by 6 = 8 8x£2000 = 16K per annum, X 25%= asking price of 4K It looks like a fair asking price.
Maybe hold back 10% for a settling in period of 6 months to see if you lose any.

If you want the work AND, "AND!" the work is as he says it is- then that price is a bargain IMO.

Also remember that he has come to you regarding selling up and offered it to you.
You havent been chasing him or hounding him for it, so two things from this, he wants you to buy it and he wants to sell it.
Would not go as low as £2,000, would offer £2,500 but be prepared to go to £3000
And even at £4,000 it is cheap though when you see some of the fantasy prices some people want when selling rounds on ebay, etc.
