Dont get me wrong im all for disabled people getting out and about these days and why not a free bus pass is cool with me. But why do they need a astra vxr to get about I feel we are not getting a good deal here. On the motobility scheme if you recieve hivher rate mobility allowance you are entitled to a mobility car wait for it a brand new reg for 3 years with insurance road tax servicing and even tires and free options such as auto transmission and free rear parking sensors we are all picking up the bill for this. You can even get a car if you dont drve you can name a driver so your mum will infact inherit a free car with the only running costs being fuel im surprised we aint forking out for feul too. I think the car dealers are exploiting the rules in order of selling new cars you can get a fully kitted out mitsubishi l200 on the motobility scheme madness. A recovering alchoholic can get a car a recovering junkie peic of dung and im running around in a 2004 asta peice of dung with two front tires due the morrow. I feel a gammy leg and bad back coming on.

we have a mobilty car,and yes you are right, with most things,

but dont forget that the mobilty scheme is a charity and is not funded by the goverment, yes the government give you the funding for the car, that then goes to mobilty scheme

when you get your first car you have to a pay a depsoit, now this depends on what type of car you want,we had a zafia and paid £200,now if you want a 4x4 then that depsoit could be £6k,this money you dont get back after the 3years,but when you get your next car then you have to pay the despoit again so iit could be another £6k for a 4x4 and this is also on top of your weekly payments.

yes there are people that get on the scheme who shouldnt be on it,and i couldnt agree more.

but please get a few facts right before you make a desision Wink
