Horrific crash on M5 near Taunton with 27 cars and lorries involved,    the poor people involved were all trapped and many of the cars exploded into flames.

police are saying heavy rain and thick fog played a big part and M5 will be closed both sides for at least 24 hours at Taunton.

my heart goes out to those poor people and their families.

I saw that on the news this morning. Its something we all take for granted that we will make it home safe at night. Hearing about accidents like always makes you think.

on our local news they are saying heavey rain and fog could be the cause, sadly this type of accident will be repeated as the winter comes on us properly. just missed an accident like that in the 80's over 70 vehicles involved, we just stopped in time, very scarey. you got to feel for the families of the ones who have died..

Everyone on motorways drive way too close to each other .
Me being a professional WFP van owner  always leaves plenty of space for my transit to stop in and water tank .

What amazes me is that I leave a gap and several cars jump in .
Persons are just in a rush and don't realise how dangerous a car can be .
The amount on phones etc amazes me , about every few cars seem to be on their phone and I see loads of lasses Texting as they are pulling up to junctions etc .

The Rugby club that had the Firework display are coming under investigation , the increase smoke mixing with the foggy air .
I hope they had a Licence .
