I had a 52plate expert , was no problem and very useful storage .
Now got 04 transit , no problems with it ,basic and works , parts cheap ,but not had any yet ,thank god .

Kirky's new shape dispatches are excellant , not sure if a 650 litre tank, etc could go in them .Ideal with 500litre .
Vito , look nice , expensive to maintain, thirsty
Toyota hiace , workhorses good.

I'd go transit or dispatch, expert . Or if money no problem Transporter like MR H

Stay clear of Vivaro's, Trafic etc unless new. Theres a lot of guys on here and CIU had big problems especially with gearboxs.

i think transits spot on for parts, and room that you have is very handy i no other vans might have a smarter look in shape as i looked at vito first but for more than happy with transit and fords so much easier if anything goes belly up !!

we've had 3 vitos great vans never let you down but really thirsty

vivaro stay well away unless brand new ours is an 06 plate had nothing but problems with it the master cylinder slave cylinder gear linkage and power steering pump benn changed in the last 7 months

transporters are fantastic vans only reason we didnt get one is the fuel tank is where the exhaust is on our thermo pure system so coulnt have had the thermo put into it

i have always bought my cars from auction as my dad is a self employed mechanis so its safe .
However we went to the Van auctions twice and gave up as they were terrible , the odd one or two that were decent went for good money .
Autotrader iss the best and after afew months looking u will get to find a value for money mint one .

All the best , be patient

Careful with auctions, you pay extra on commission, plus an indemnity fee.plus VAT. extra if you pay by card. etc. we bought a van from Colchester auctions £2850 and the extras came to another £500. so read small print first
