I'm considering buying a caravan .
Cheap holidays and get-aways with my 5yr old and 10 month old , kids really enjoy this type of bonding .
Can't afford abroad holidays .

Its just against my principles of being my a caravaner , nearly as bad as being a SCOOTER fanatic , kirky boy  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin .

Seen some at £2k , and after 5 yrs , when the kids are older probably still get a £1k for it .
Also when I upset our lass I can move in  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

me and the mrs looked  at buying one a couple of years ago,but we decided that we like the sun to much and neither of us are fussed about driving,we only live 20 mins from bham airport so we just hop on a plane and job done,i must admit i would like to give caravanning a go but just a wkend a year would do Grin

caravans are great fun for a young family and good cheap holidays , i was brought up camping originally and then caravanning a lot ( Like every weekend every summer !)

decided to go low tech myself this year and show my boy real camping.

find an isolated bit of land , two man tent , cooking mre's on a hexistove , hunting with the rifles and throw in some fishing aswell  Cool , cant wait.

Quality that WCLee , I believe the way Money is going now families are starting to get back to old school actions .
Cooking stews etc and growing own foods , to save cash .
Kids putting an extra jumper on in winter  Grin
Less car journeys etc ,
And like you doing , going camping and enjoying real family time .
