Due to a change in circumstance I have had to take out my own policy and the cheapest I could find was £420 TPFT on a VW transporter 1.9TD I am 30 and have zero no-claims bonus and 5 points on my licence + I only passed my test 3 1/2 years ago.

Before this I was a named driver and it was only £200 fully comp.

£420 was the cheapest and is with Highway Insurance, I thought its not too bad and at least I am starting to build up my no claims (if I dont have another accident that is).

Just wondering what you lot pay and who with?

I'm thinking that's not a bad price given your lack of ncd, keep your nose clean and it will get better.

We had full no claims (5 years) with norwich union and that was in my dads name worked out £20 a month fully comp, when I got a quote for from NU they wanted £900 comp for me in my own name.

I got some junk mail in the post and rang a place called PQBI (broker) they matched the other best quote I had (which was also with highway), but after a saying I would go with the other place they knocked £20 off.
