Our lass went to Asda and spent £130 , and there wasnt anything special in our trolley .
amazing , cant afford to live these days .It was a big shop and the next week be far less , but still killing us .

been offered a few tips on my window round , buy a few foods at a local indian shop for then cheap friday/saturday night curries as they are far cheaper than the supermkts .
Grow your own  , more custies doing it , potatoes and toms etc .
Shop at Liddel , better than Aldi been told .

next week Liddel for us ,  a new just opened up about 5 mile away .

from spending approx £90 per week on shopping i managed to lower our bill to about £60 per week simply by writing out a list of meals for each day of the week and only adding those items to the shopping list , then add all the dung , crisps / choc etc afterwards.

deodorants/soap/household cleaning gear is always from the £ shop although the mother in law swears by lidl for that stuff

i can never go shopping without a complete list as id always forget stuff but more importantly , impulse buy ! that was always the killer for me , but now just stick to the list

all that saving now means i can afford  ..............

to cover any gas/elec increase    Cry  the countries had it

havent bothered this year but last i did grow some veg in the garden , sat there eating pie, potatoes , carrots and peas , all for the cost of a pie and the taste was unreal , nothing like it. washed down with homegrown strawberries  Wink

Nice one mate
I agree , the price of stuff is extortionate , I sometimes have say £200 in your pocket and its gone after the supermkt trip and petrol station .
Terrible times .

And when the schools strike we will all be at home child minding
