Best asking this in the wfp section. It all depends on size of jobs & flow usuage. Beginners usually use more than advanced cleaners.

Definatly the SL2 m8...... Its modular with short sections (5ft 7") and with such a light weight (under 3kg at 60ft) you can use it all day long. You are not allowed to view links.

You're new here, and I have no wish to appear rude, but you've already asked this question in your first post.
A - you've forgotten where you've been posting.
B - you haven't read the reply to your post which gave a recommendation, which is what you asked for.

hi just a couple of question if possible to answer, how long will oooppm water lie in my static tank before its starts rising/ and how many washes peter with pure water does it take to get them gleaming, because after my first full cycle and calling back for my money i can still see marks on windows and i went by the book spent plenty of time cleaning an rinsing down
cheers peter

I've purchased my omnipole backpack from e-bay, Just wondering whether a Bayersan pole will connect straight to it, And will there be enough power to pump the water up 24' ?

Plenty of power - don't worry. I think the new Omnipole pack has 5 settings? Glynn will give you more info' - just ask. Take the lance off & get a connector to attach your new hose to it. There are plenty of stores providing this - I just don't know what size hose you are using.

I can't see it drying faster - if you added alcohol it probably would.

Hi, Im thinking of starting my pole cleaning business in the nea future and have been reading non stop trying to gather as much info as possible. I have a few questions( first 3 of hundreds I imagine!)
1. Velux/roof windows. Are they usually cleaned, does the customer expect them to be cleaned ? If so any guides on how to do this?
2. I am looking at a van mounted system that will supply 2 users. What size pump is needed and is there any other equipment required apart from the hoses, brushes.
3.VAT. I will be looking to clean domestic properties but is there a way of getting around the problems caused by having to charge/register for VAT due to the comercial properties?
Thanks in advance. JACK

Jack, I am confused. Are you already registered for VAT due to already being in business of some kind, or are you assuming that to get commercial work you must be registered for VAT?

Hi, Im not VAT registered, but I guess that most commercial customers would prefer to claim VAT back for a window cleaning service. And if so would that have a negative effect on my chance of getting a commercial contract if I was not VAT registered? ( they wont be able to claim money back)
If this is not the case and commercial customers are not bothered can someone please let me know in their experience. Thanks again

I do a bit of commercial and I am not vat registered, in reality it makes no difference as if you don't charge it there is nothing to claim back, but some of the larger contractors prefer it. but to start with I wouldn't bother unless you are targeting massive contracts,

Yes Stu is right enough. I have 2 office blocks, one large one small, neither have ever mentioned vat to me. Shop chain stores also pay by cheque from head office and have never mentioned vat. It may be beneficial to certain business's but no need for in my business so far.
