Ok I am relatively new to window cleaning. I have only been doing it for 1 1/2 years the quickest I can do bearing in mind the houses I do are all old and very different from each other) 35mins a house, That's flat out basically running around the house to do. Is there any video to show your techniques @ agpm06

just film yourself cleaning the windows and when you get home speed it up by say 10X, and then you will have an idea of the speed i used to go used to.

take your pick mate You are not allowed to view links.
Register or Logini always used the Pulex Soft, summer and winter. could never get on with Ungers. sometimes i'd buy the long ones and cut to size, good if you use different size blades&channels

Nice one at they prices your quick enough mate as allan says some of the houses that are getting done 6 to the hour have only one up one down at front and maybe 2 up 1 down at rear, ive got a load of flats that only have 3 windows and i can do well loads an hour

stu, dont tell anyone else on here as word spreads but i do a section of old folks flats where its just the ground level, 4 windows per flat and i can whizz round 30-40 in an hour depending on how i am feeling that day, they are only 3.50 per flat, but its still not a bad wage for an hours work ( the collecting takes just as long though by the time you chat away to them)

I know spend most my time detailing cos my rubbers miss edges and that.
First, try and keep your applicator (monsoon if you can get them) as dry as you can, (the more water you put on the glass/frames, the more you have to wipe up) only dip it at one end when you need to, use the drier end for the edges of the glass. The next time you dip, do the opposite end.
Then, instead of detailing after you've bladed, run a moist (but not wet) sill cloth quickly up, along, and down the putty edges - then blade. All you'll have to wipe then is the sill - and if you're using a window cleaning detergent like GG3, you should manage that by one wipe of the applicator. Use a microfibre sill cloth rather than scrim, it only needs one wipe too. By rights there should be nothing left to detail, but use a different microfibre cloth for finishing than the sill cloth.
How fast will you be now?
That'll be a fiver, thanks!

I always use soft rubber now but since I started using the "new type of dog-earing" I don't have to detail hardly at all. Its only because of my sheer speed that I mess it up somtimes. If I go a bit slower I can almost do the perfect window with this system. Please look on this section of the forum and go back a few months to find New type of dog-earing for details. It realy works and I developed it specifically for the pole but now have all my gear modified in this way. Regards Wagga.

Hi Karl, I only use Wagtail now and yes I dogear the ends but only in the special way. It does weaken the ends a lot and Iv'e had one or two break off, but because of the extra speed and greatly reduced detailing, it realy is worth it.

I'm realy sorry but I can't post a pic on here as the image size is too big and the forum won't accept it. I can't work out how to reduce it. So the only image available is the original one taken a few months ago and posted on this section of the forum under "New Type of Dog-Earing" a few months ago. All this method does is to keep the very ends of the rubber in contact with the glass especially when the frames have rubber seals all around. If you get this right it will transform your windowcleaning. Some trial and error in the adjustment will be needed.
