going to purchase a new wagtail i have the blue ribbon one but should i by the orbital one to compare against
any advice

Hi Bob, yes get the yellow one You can compare them then. I must admit, I prefer the yellow one at the moment as its better for modifying. As you know I'm a "serial" modifier! The angle of the blade on the yellow one is a bit more acute too which helps with closing out.
