Yes it's washing up liquid and it's realy good. Good slip and few streaks unless you botch the whole job up.

I keep looking in at my local Lidl and have for awhile now.
They only seem to stock some washing up liquid called
L5. Is this stuff the same ?

Lidl have changed the bottle that the W5 is in. I don't like it as much as the old one, since I use them for my 'bottle on a belt' system. The good news is, that the W5 itself seems even better, but maybe its my emagination.

iv taken to fixing a small spray bottle on a chain to my belt and spraying the solution as i  get near to the window .took me a while to find one that sprayed a good gobful in one go . i found a good spray bottle in a local hardware shop, took off the 700ml bottle and screwed on a small 350ml clear drink bottle which is lighter on the ladder . got my W5 mix in it

wouldnt alot lot of dirt build up in applicator this way, as when using bucket it getting a good rinse maybe twice per house, more on hot days

for first cleans and anything over 4wk then it becomes a problemm but i been using bottle on belt for years and it seems to work just fine, getting best results i ever got. if applicator gets too dirty i rinse it a bit more with bottle or under tap but dont generally need to very often.
bottle on belt is great system for wfp and trading bottoms too, no bucket to try to trail about, see my vid on this

I prefer a bucket, but to be honest i have no room on my belt for a bottle. Ive already modded my pockets by attaching a pocket to a pocket for extra compartments. ive even got a small pole attached to one pocket for easy access. All this plus boab with 2 wagtails in. No room for bottle Sad Sad Cry Cry Grin

i carry a small pole too and am going to feature it soon. when i started using bottle on belt i thought about the dirt issue too but was quite suprised at how well it worked. its just the freedom you get from no bucket. for me its a priority especially as i do wfp tops and trad bottoms. some i do with wagtail on pole still though, but only as a section. its either wfp OR trad pole in the main.

sorry for goin a bit off topic.

wagga

lol. My little pole hanging off me is about as close to wfp work as i,ll ever get. I know next to nothing about them. I am very comfortable with a set of ladders, and honestly think that ladder work is just as quick, if not quicker on normal 2 story homes.
I have always looked to do my work as efficiantly and easily as possible, whilst doing a good job as well, and through the years have refined the way i work quite well imo.
I,m enjoying the wagtails at the mo, but only find them more efficient up the ladder cuz on the ground you can applicate with one hand whilst squeegeeing with the other (as you know). They are great though. They give me a lot more reach (being only 5' 6" tall). Dog earing works great, and to end this post on the right subject, have just bought some W5 to use in my solution. Finding it good as the fairy built up too much foam behind the pad on the wagtail causing the odd sud line when squeegeeing Smiley Smiley
