I am only average height and struggle to reach ground floor windows sometimes without using a pointer.  I have seen Waggas vids about the wagtail and mini pole.  I can't find the mini pole listed for sale in Unger's products, only the handle extension which may do the same thing for me and give me a bit more reach but my question is whether they are one in the same or is the mini pole just what it says and not the handle extension?

It just comes as the handle section as far as I can remember, but you will need to attach an Unger cone to it, this way it is quite long. In case you missed it, here is the vid You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
You could always use a bit of broom stick or a small section of an old pole on the other hand.

Yes, Rod. I am only 5' 6''. I carry an unger handle extension, which is only small but really comes in handy and just sits in one of my pockets. I also carry on my belt a small extension pole for reaching under high canopys etc, which I got from B&Q for £7.

This pole extends to over 2 feet. We 'not so tall' folk need all the help we can get  Grin

Thanks for both those replies.  I have seen your vid, wagga, along with most of your others and thank you for your invaluable advice.  Your common sense and thrifty yet professional ideas have convinced me to buy a trolley system and save the unaffordable cost of a van at the moment  by working from my car, a suitable vehicle in fact.  Your pictures and comments seem to gel with my own.

I have just been round to B & Q for something else today and found myself checking the decorating poles.  Sure enough that short extension looks just the job.  Not bought yet but on my list soon.  Thanks.

I assume the Anza pole is the right diameter to fit the unger cone? (couple of holes to drill) Or have you just left as it is and stuck tools on the end?

Yes, just stick my wagtails on the end of both the pole or the handle extension. I think you can put any squeege straight on them

Hi, thanks for that.  I don't have the wagtail gear but I am thinking of using them soon. (Still new so getting work is top of the list)  When I was window cleaning years ago it was mop and scrim and timber ladders.  Much better now with wfp and trad stuff. bfn

I always keep an unger mini pole with a 4" squidgie on my belt and find this combo invaluable  Wink
