Why hot, it dries too quick in the summer.

Any chance of sending me a pic with your bucket on a belt system as i am intrigued, and also do you make up your own water? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Hi, wish I knew how to do a picture. Would be so great. A picture paints a thousand words as they say.
Anyway bottle on belt is just a pull-top 1ltr using pure water and GG3. Lasts for quite a few houses. Have several in car. Use about 5 a day. It fits in one of my pouches and I use Unger's Bucket-on -a-belt just as a tool holder. I empty it often.

This week - I've been mainly using ABC Glisten. Can't be bothered going to workshop to get some more GG4.

Quite impressed, has a lot more slip than GG4. But its probably only dish liquid.

Hi,

I have tried almost every commercial window washing solution and then about ten years ago ago saw a product (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login) in an American window washing magazine that is an ounce or less of concentrate combined with a quart of tap water in quart bottle.

I found that this same solution could be added to a bucket of water and it caused the windows to sparkle after they were squeegeed!

Using a quart bottle with a push-pull sports cap, I poured the mixture onto the applicator (stripwasher, brush or Wagtail mop) and quickly and smoothly applied the solution to my customer's windows before easily squeegeeing it off.

No cloudiness on the windows, no headaches from ammonia fumes, slippier than any other window cleaning solution, more biodegradeble than other products!

This product has been perfect for me!

The right mixture puts up a sheet of water with no suds!

There has been no spillage or difficult to clean mess when doing indoors windows!

My hands have been dry during most application and squeegeeing processes.

I recommend this product to all commercial and residential window washers, even residents!

Thanks,

Tree

I always had it instilled into me to use hot water when learning the trade, how many of you use hot and who uses cold water.

Just tried fairy mixed with some car windscreen fluid and the results were real good, no streaking and just used towelling to detail.

I think I will do that. You see I have only been trained and worked for the 1 window cleaner so I have no other method to compare to than the one I have been taught.  I am self employed and I am still keen to provide a quality service and thats whats so good about this forum I am seeing more of how others work and the methods used. Still building my water fed trolley thats the next avenue to tackle.

hot/cold/warm what ever i can get my hands on i dont think it makes any difference. Ive used unger for 5 weeks then after loads of moaning off the lads because unger smells bad i went back to fairy for the week. But now i have gone back to unger and told them not to breathe whilst they work. Am i being harsh Huh? . I only use screenwash when it is freezing and your water freezes on the glass whilst you are moping up. It works a treat Smiley
