Can anyone out there help me?
Been W/C for about a year now[again]. I'm kitted out with fixed head ettore gear, my round is growing fast as i'm the only window cleaner around here[south snowdonia] trying to find ways of speeding things up a bit so am just about to get gold reach pole. Can anyone tell me if i'd be better off getting the swivel attachment[ cheaper cos of current gear] or a purpose made swivel squeegee and t-bar.
cheers,
Frosty.

Stevo,
yeah i know they are great mate WFPs.
I'm only in my first year though, started off totally skint[cheap squeegees, bucket and a sponge and borrowed ladders]. now got all pro ettore gear and all me own kit and i'm sure one day in the not to distant future i'll get a WFP but until that day my earlier question......
i'm sure you've been here yourself at one time.......

Get yourself the sörbo squeegee that swivels. You won't be sorry. For atriums etc, try the procurve (with procurve you have to buy the name channel holders & squeegee holders.
I am also a fan of the Ettore progrip, but Sörbo comes in handy for those difficult to reach poling jobs.

cheers Karlosdaze,
Will try the sorbo also. Have asked this question in a few forums this week and nobody has mentioned the swivel attachment for the end of the pole so i presume these aren't worth it, but thought i'd ask about anyway.
ta.

Cats & dogs on & off. The problem here is brown rain because of sand from the sahara.

Sörbo ain't  cheap. But you will save double the time. Think of it as the trads poling equivalent to a wfp.

karlos is there much difference between the sorbo(never used one) and the ettore S/S. all of my kit is ettore so would i need some new gear or would the sorbo fit an ettore re-ach. in fact i may as well go have a look at the site

The Sörbo will fit on an Ettore reach. You can also buy Ettore in swivel for both squeegee & scrubber. If you are happy with Ettore - stick with them, although you will probably work faster with the king of squeegees at more cost. I wouldn't advise using an adapter with poles for squeegees, unless you have a really difficult window. Check out the new Ettore contour. It swivels, goes to a zero degree & I've heard has a little flex too it.

cheers karlos. already have my ettore swivel head squeegee and t bars. i was just wondering in what way the sorbo is better? gonna check out the new contour at blackpool next week and try to find the best clamp tool for my pole. the ettore is quite dear for what it is i think, the unger wont fit my pole properly, already had that prob with my 'the ledger' 16" and had to make a little thing for the end. defeating the object though as now i have to change the end cone when i use my ledger. i'll have to change my ledger or get another pole specifically for that. but the ledger is that dear i'd begrudge having to leave it in the tool kit all the time!!

I think its just the feel of it on the pole. You rarely have to detail after. The rubber is a better quality hence the price, although you can get cheaper Sörbo rubber for straight pull only.
