Hi newbie here  Smiley yes another one ..... Roll Eyes Grin

I'm keen on using a wagtail and pole to cut down ladder use, what make and length of pole would you recommend for first floor windows ?

I've been looking at the Unger tele plus, opti loc, ettore etc etc....  and it seems you can get all sorts of different combinations of length and extensions.
It's making me dizzy now  Tongue

i  was using a 6m.  pulex ali pole  similar to the ungers u mentioned  but after reading on here a few tips i bought a  roach fishing pole off ebay . it was an 11m  pole but i shortened it to about 9m  as the end is too thin . this pole is far lighter than any ali pole  and stiffer .  this makes it real easy to handle a wagtail

Just called in B&Q for something unrelated, but seen a great alloy Harris brand extension pole that's 5.5m long if I remember right.  Light and seemed very stiff when I extended it. Priced at £15.

I only use an unger optiloc 2 section for con roofs and a few awkward large windows. I just cant see that you can do a great job poling trad. I could use ladders just as fast.

Think you'd be surprised, both at the speed and quality. Only with modified Wagtail though!
