Hi,

I'm not a window cleaner, so I don't know if this is a good answer, but I remember someone asked this already here:

Bird much contains alot of acid.If you wet the window/canopy first then come back to it a few minutes later you should find it will come straight off. When you try to clean with wfp without soaking it all your doing is rubbing over it insted of lifting it off.

I use a seperate pole with scraper, then wfp.

Watch out with "birdflu", the dried on poo is how you catch it.

It is, there are quite a few cases reported in Europe. It will only be a matter of time. Usually it is bird handlers, but since then the boffs have found out it can be passed on in dried bird poo.

there was a case in Scotland but it dried up  Grin
... the unfortunate swans were killed Sad
Suppose, just don't put your squeegee in your mouth and wash hands before eating?
If pigeon poo can pass birdflu, everyone they poo on will die? We will all die  Shocked

easy sqeeezzee, all u do is soak the canopy with very soapy water on your applicator fairy liquid being the best, leave for five mins rub with applicator and squeegee off or rinse with wfp jets without brushing.

Fairy Liquid!!
Shocked Huh?
NO WAY!!
Why do so many of you use it?

Dishwashing liquid is for cowboys! Real window cleaners use professional detergents such as Unger's window cleaning fluid or GG4.

Why?

Fairy Liquid is... well, the composition is a bit like grit. It is great for getting grease of a plate, but not a window! You want a gentler fluid for windows.

Moreover, professional window cleaning detergents will make as much soapy bubbles, so if you miss a bit, less streaks.

But most importantly, your squeegee will meet less friction because there is not "grit"!!! It just glides.

Back when I first started window cleaner, I used dishwashing liquid for about a week. It was horrible stuff! Then I discovered Unger's fluid and haven't gone back to Tesco for my cleaning chemicals. I introduced a friend to it and he also has put dishwashing liquid behind him.
Cool

apparently you can only get birdflu from a live bird - but it's a matter of debate
