This post is in reply to a request on the WFP site.
The Wagtail flipper will not do a window in one swipe. As the name suggests, you first wet window then simply "flip" the applicator out of the way and then blade the glass.
Iv'e found these Wagtails a real boon , especially for pole-work. It's absolutly unbeatable.
Iv'e even got a detailing tool strapped to mine. (SEE PICS)
An angle adaptor is a must.
Found this system so good that I can't be bothered to change to wfp. Takes less time, less cumbersome, have worked in this freezing weather with no problems.
Rarely use ladders now.
Use only gg3 with a drop of washing-up liq.

Chris.

It doesn't show you how to use the thing, but it shows how it's been modded.
Just look at my Wagtail Pics post a few back on this forum.

Im working on my own at moment so ive bought a pole for windows that i would normally have the ladder footed for. Eventually going to go wfp but for now thought i would use pole, mop and blade. Read some of your posts and it seems like you are pretty good with the pole. Ive just started and i am mopping up bring pole down put blade on and then do vertical strokes and then bring pole down to tie a srim on end and detail. Proving a pain in the backside. Any tips and how do you do leaded windows.

I very interested in the wagtail, you say you do not use ladders often, how much longer does it take using the wagtail or is it about the same as using a ladder

Hi Birdymiller,
Iv'e now converted all my leaded window customers to WFP. I thought it was a good way of trying out the system.
I'm gradually getting the hang of it but getting some spotting. Any way, if they don't like it, I was going to ditch all the lead custies anyway.

Hi Foxy4, No I realy don't use the ladders very much at all now and it doesn't take any longer than with ladders anymore because with practice you get good at it.

Read all my posts and look at "WAGTAIL PICS". With my modified Wagtail I can wet window, flip mop out of way, blade window, then detail it AND have the correct angle all in one! Infact it's so successful that I find it easier than
WFP no weight and no hoses, only bottle on a belt with GG3.
Any questions just email me.
