I've always used cold. Have to agree that hot will have more cleaning power, but any stubborn marks I remove with a scraper. Why not just take a couple of thermos flasks out - then if you get the urge, you can also have a cuppa?

Often thought of using one of those 12v coffee maker elements in my bucket, don't know why i never have cos it would be great in the winter  Grin  Grin  Grin  Grin

Its just the waiting. Duke put one in his backpack & I think it took a considerable time to heat up even with a lid.
