Hi windyman

I do the same 36" gives me 16" for back flip 14" and 6" for my sawnoff wagtail flipper. Grin

I use my small retractable scraper blade for cutting tho, you know the small metal type fits in bucket on belt just get it level and push down and back and you get a good edge i find.

its important to get a square cut, anvil plant pruners, or a pair of pincers will do this

A new Stanley scraper blade (not in the scraper) works well.
Just press down firmly in a slight rocking action while not shifting the blade.

Thanks guys, think I'm gonna try the scrapper blade thing. I'll sit down & do the whole lot when they get delivered so I don't have to do it on the go, which should help them be a better finish.

Smiley Hi M8 i always buy the 42" and cut into 14" strips as well , but i use scissors , an old fashioned pair of wilkinson sword scissors . Near a bungalow in the middle no-where there is sometimes an old gypsie camped near there , who sharpens them 4 me Wink , how lucky is that.

Just get a stanly blade.
Iine the blade up square over the rubber just put it on, then give it light hit on the back blade with the handle of a screw driver.
CHOP IT!!.  cut it on a piece of wood. Wink Grin
