Got fed up of clips holding Wagtail Flipper pad
Drill two holes in blade
Get two small cable ties
Slide a length of wire through sleeve in pad
Attach to Wagtail
Works realy well and won't foul the blade anymore during closing out
See pic on next post

Cheers, looks like it works. Bit of a chew on though! Don't think I'll remember a second time!

wagga, how does the wire thru the pad work ? did u see the video on windowcleaningresources, with that 12 inch flipper modded with an ali hinged ?

a couple of weeks ago i shaved down a microtiger sleeve( to try to match the weight of the original yellow pad) ,this has been a success, flips on a pole ,  but is still a tad too heavy . im using an 18" flipper .

Hi, couldn't find the video. The wire through the sleeve is essential to give it rigidity, otherwise it wont flip right, too floppy. The wire goes at the cable tie side. You can also try a wire at the other side at same time. Helps it flip better. Havn't tried it on a large blade though.
