gg3 is completely different to fairy. there is no white suds.
downside is its hard to see on the window. you have to be light handed upside there is next to nothing to wipe up of the sills and you get a cracking shine

I'm a funny old [ I should have amended this post ] . After 20 odd years slagging off mate's who use gg3 and the like when i always advocated Fairy liquid as a cheap and cheery make do, I finally bit the bullet and splashed out on some gg3. Brilliant stuff for squegeeing glass, end off. Slip is tremendous, soap is almost non existent making wiping sill's a quick doddle and the finish will blind a blind man. Twenty years I farted around with fairy and latterly ww5 from lidl but non can match gg3 for me.

Kempy, it takes a day or two to get used to it, you have to be very light working the blade on the glass and it only need's a thimblefull to mix, it really is super concentrated, you wont see nearly as much soap on the glass but that's normal and still slips a treat.

16 years of fairy then i tried gg3!why didnt i try pro detergent before?absolutely brilliant!i will never go back to washing up liquid again!!ill be mainly wfp soon but any trad will have gg3 in the bucket!! hardly any suds to mop up(esp noticable on dark wood/pvc frames)and a great shine and doesnt seem to leave the white marks that fairy used to leave. only downside is its hard to see what your doing properly when trad poling(esp when its 25 ft in the air!!).i find its better to put a bit extra in.i use about 20ml per 7/8lt of water for pole work or if the windows are really dirty!! regards dazmond

Well here is me being contradictive of myself again. Still use gg3 everyday and think it is far better than fairy. But has anyone noticed that on really sunny days it leaves direction change marks as your rubber twists and turns. On a cloudy day it's super but in sunshine I am finding it a wee bit frustrating.

That is why most regular gg3 users, well in the USA anyway, will put a dash of dish soap in with it. Defeats the purpose if you ask me, just as well with the dish soap. The above reason was also the reason for Titan Labs introducing GG4 a bit more of a suds about it, more glide, and easier to see on the glass. Peter

you wont be dissapointed stu.the first couple of days youll be buzzing at the shine on the windows and the very little suds on frames/sills! i dont really have much of a prob with direction changes in warmer weather i just use more water and a tad more gg3.that usually cures it!! yes daz ive used it before and loved it just ran out a while ago and went back to fairy

On W5 at the moment but not getting much slip from it. Think its the hard water. I used Morning fresh for years and occassionally Fairy. I,m going to try Fairy again next. just hope it doesnt build up too much suds in the Wagtail sleeve.

I think youv'e got a point with the hard water. Maybe thats why I get good slip here in Durham as my water it about 70-80ppm so its good. The collecting rain water is a good idea. The Fairy suds might build up as you say but you could use less Fairy especially if with rainwater.

Peter i used gg3 for years when i was trad, i'm mainly wfp these days, recently i have been mixing a little cyrstal clear (window cleaning solution sold by my local cleaning supplies shop) with a little gg3, on it's own gg3 does not have enough slip, which contributes to squeegie lines showing on bright day's, and mixing the 2 makes trad poling shops better,as you can easily see what you are doing, this solution i use is out performing either on it's own , the addition of a small amount of gg3- to cyrstal clear really brings out the shine on the glass, and cuts through dirt and grease with ease. when doing internal windows , where they are smokers, i often add a splash of sugar soap as well , the slip is tremendous, and results are perfectly clean windows. daz daz
