popular post this one Liam  Grin Grin

All I know they run behind the rubish truck so early starts   Embarrassed , so it need to be in sync with their rota, they collect once a month or so, so very big collection, they also try to collect in advance possible to keep collection down, seen alot of money left out for them as I go around doing my customers.

Where I am they charge £3 per bin, that's to wash in/out, they spray it with germ killer I guess and put a bin liner in it, so would need quiet big round and alot of customers!

I would think 100 custies a day would be easily achievable which is a good wage but then if there is other bin cleaners working the round you are going to be driving the same route at the same time might end up in a turf war lol.
I think there is alot of environment agency issues involved with waste water too

i see 2 bin cleaning setups round my way. the first is in a big red sherpa van , you cant miss them, they are bang and clattery and one fellahs always got a clipboard knockin on the house doors and they dont look happy
the 2nd one iv only seen once. he had a merc van with a box body on the back, looked more upmarket. he pulled on waterproof trousers and then pull -started an engine through a small sidedoor of his van  and then pressure washed the bin which lay on a sloping panel in the back of his van.

Thanks for the replys  Smiley
Ive seen a few bin cleaners round my way they charge 1.50 - 2.00 a clean but it takes like 2 or 3 mins per bin which would make you a good wage, theres normally 2 of them one collects all the bin while the other washes them, not sure what sort of system they have or the chemicals they use, I know they have a pressure washer but thats about it. not much info out there on this  Huh?

hey liam im lookin to set up something simililar with my bro. ive researched a bit and came up with this..
1. pressure washer , Tfr to clean the bin, pear and apple drop fragrance to scent the bin, some put a bin liner some dont . im gna test canvass it some time this week and see what response i get.. have u already test ran it.. bins are colletcted everyday and the way id work it is monday - canvass enough customers to hit a target of 150 - 200, roughly 60 bins a day should make it worth while, im lookin to buid the round up for my bro he takes over and i take 50% and keep on my windows.. it should be a nice little extra if done properly.. the council does have regulations about waste water ,i have bumped in to a few Moo boys who dnt bother but some make an effort to wash the bin near a road side drain so the water runs down it. but if u just gna be gettin it off its feet u gotta start somewhere ... keep us posted and ill do the same

I was thinking about it for the future as Im still in the early stages of buiding my window round, but I was thinking of charging say a 1.00-1.50 a bin, and canvassing with a sticker type thing for people to stick on there bin and a space to write there door number on if they want it cleaning.
thanks Liam

No one would pay it round my way people are paying 1.50-2.00 and its not like windows people are goin to go for the cheapest, I doubt many people check there bins like they check there windows.
keep me posted on how you go mate  Smiley
