Anyone got an old shell lying around? dont need the workings, just the plastic shell, as mine has started leaking badly.

          Just a thought, but have you tried creeping crack cure (see link):

I used it once when my sunroof on the car was leaking and i had no idea where it was getting in. They use it on fibreglass boats etc. Might be worth spending a fiver before splashing out more or trashing your shell?  Grin
